ON REMOTE SENSING RENEWAL OF SPATIAL DATABASE BASED ON GIS AND BACKGROUND DATA KNOWLEDGE-AN EXAMPLE FROM 1 : 50000 DATABASE FOR THE CURRENT SITUATION OF LAND UTILIZATION OF ANHUI PROVINCE

With the rapid development of the society and economy of China, it is in urgent need to renew geographic spatial database quickly and dynamically. Taking remote sensing image as data source and making use of GIS functions in data handling, management, displaying and background data, the authors establish interpretation marks of each type of land used by geological knowledge discovery and integration, and directly make multi-element modifications on the basis of background spatial database. This method not only raises efficiency by saving time and lessening work amount, also upgrades precision. Its application realizes fast and accurate renewal of the 2000-year phase of first-class and some second-class land types of 1 : 50000 database for current situation of land utilization. It is applicable to the renewal of other geographic spatial databases of corresponding scale.
