STUDY OF THE JURASSIC-CRETACEOUS PALEOCLIMATE OF THE TARIM BASIN

This paper,guided by sedimentary theory,combined with petrology and mineralogy,based on analysis of lithofacies,heavy minerals classifications,associations and their stability,discussed in detail the features of lithofacies in the Jurassic-Cretaceous Tarim Basin and reconstructed the paleoclimate evolution and concluded that the Tarim Basin changed from substantially warm and moist climate in Jurassic to arid and hot in late Jurassic and early Cretaceous.
