Analysis of the form of cadmium in soil sample

MA Ling,LIU Wen-chang,ZHA Li-xin,LIU Hong-qing(Geoanalysis Institute of Anhui Province,Hefei,Anhui 230001,China)  
Analysis of the form of cadmium in soil sample from the Wuhan area by improved Tessier sequential extraction indicates that cadmium exists substantially in the form of ion exchange in soil,generally in a state in such order as: ion exchange state(including water-soluble state)carbonate bondFe\Mn oxide bondhumic acid bondresiduestrong organic bond,implying that cadmium is active in soil,opt to migrating and transforming,highly accessible to plants,therefore an important polluting element in environment.
