MAGMATIC SKARN AND ITS ORE DEPOSITS

Wu Yanchang; Shao Guiqing; Wu Lian (Anhui Institute of Geology, Hefei 230001)  
Magmatic skarns were resulted form calc silicate melt(fluid) or calc skarnic magma through injection crystallization or/and cryptoexplosion solidificatin (crystallization). They were found mainly veinlike, Sometimes breccia pipe (zone)-like in a variety of rocks (beds) and controlled by faults and fissure structure. Magmatic skarn was in close paragenesis with alkali rich intermediate basic intermediate acid intrusions and both of them showed conjugate complementary relationship in major chemical compositions and formed a typical magmatic skarn alkali rich (intermediate bdsic intermediate acid) intrusion couple. They were products of two kinds of different natured melt (fluid) or magma derived from the deep seated(high level magma chamber) and heavily Ca contaminated alkali rich dioritic magma through immiscibe separation. The mamatic skarn related ore deposits formed associated with the diagenetic evolution of syngenetic iron oxides/sulfides fluid bearing calc skarn (ore) magma to constitute a special magmatic sham ore deposit series.
