Study on Decolorization Performance of Organic Modified Ti-Cross-linked Montmorillonite for Treatment of Dye Wastewater

Ti-Cross-linked Montmorillonite (Ti-CLM) was synthesized and farther organically modified by cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTMAB) in the paper. The decolorization performance of organic modified Ti-Cross-linked Montmorillonite (OMTi-CLM) for treatment of dye wastewater was investigated using methyl orange solution as simulated wastewater. The results showed that the decolorization performance of OMTi-CLM was increased observably compared with those of original clay, Na-Mont and Ti-CLM. When the dose of adsorbent was 2.0g/L, the pH value of solution ranged from 4 to 8, OMTi-CLM could achieved a high decolorization efficiency of over 95% after reaction time of 40min.
