Effect of Cu~(2+) on sprouting and physiological index of Oryza sativa

Currently,heavy metal pollution grows more and more serious.In order to study its poisonous action to field crops,The effect on sprouting and physiological nature of Oryza sativa is studied under single Cu2+ stress with Oryza sativa as material.The results showed that it is not obviously poisonous to gowth of Oryza sativa in lower Cu2+ concentration,but poisonous symptom is obvious with the increase of Cu2+ concentration.When Cu2+ concentration increass from zero to 400mg/L,sprouting rate is reduced to 22.2% from 43.3% of control group,fibrous root number is reduced to 13 from 34,main root length is also reduced to 5.34 from 6.08,so this affects the function of root system seriously.When Cu2+ concentration is 400 mg/L,chla and chlb content are only 45.1% and 58.8% of control group,but electric conductivity increass singnificantly,which also shows that cell membrane is damaged gravely.
