Adsorption properties of tea-Fe(Ⅲ) on dyes wastewater

Adsorbent of tea-Fe(Ⅲ) was abtained by the reaction of modified tea with Fe3+.And it was then used for the adsorption of Reactive Brilliant Red K-2BP and Reactive Brilliant Yellow K-6G.The adsorption properties and kinetics were studied.The effects of the concentration,pH,time and temperature on adsorption capacity were investigated.The results show that the optimum pH of the adsorption is less than 1 and the adsorption capacity first increases then reduces with the increment of the temperature.Tea-Fe(Ⅲ) enjoys a higher adsorption capacity for Reactive Brilliant Red K-2BP with phenolic hydroxyl group.The adsorption kinetics accorded with the character of the first order reaction.
