The Effect of Laser Irradiation on Seeds,Vigor of Three Kinds of Vegetables

QIAN Sen-he,YANG Chao-ying,WEI Ming(Coll.of Bioc.Engn.,Anhui Polytechnic University,Wuhu 241000,China)  
Chinese cabbage and tomato seeds were taken as materials.The influence of laser irradiation on germination percentage,germination potential,germination index,vigor index,bud length,root length and soaking electrical conductivity was studied.The results indicated that using 14 mW and 12 mW irradiating 60 s can improve germination percentage,germination potential,germination index,vigor index,bud and root length significantly of chinese cabbage and tomato seeds.Meanwhile,it can reduce their soaking electrical conductivities,respectively.Using 8 mW laser irradiating 150 s can also improve seed's vigor index and reduce soaking electrical conductivity of chinese cabbages.Using 8 mW laser irradiating 90 s can improve germination percentage,germination potential,germination index,vigor index and reduce soaking electrical conductivity of tomato,but inhibit the growth of bud and root length.
