The Determination of Stability Constans of Coordination Compounds by Ultraviolet Spectrometry

The calculation and correcton method is to be set up to obtain the true absorbance of coordination compounds in this paper, and stability constants of Cu(Ⅱ)-2,2 ’-bipyridyl (bipy) and Cu(Ⅱ)-1,10-phenanthroline (phen) are determined by ultraviolet spectrometry. It is proved to be an effective method. Besides the stability constants of Nd(Ⅲ)-bipy and Nd(Ⅲ)-phen may also be determined. The relationship between stability constant and construction of coordination compounds will be discussed.
