On the Preseravation Synergisim Effects of Banana Slurry of Potassium Sorbate and Sodium Benzoate with Several Additions

The preservation effects of banana slurry of potassium sorbate and Sodium benzoate have been investigated with the addition of citric acid, EDTA, ascorbic acid and CaCl2. It was found that the addition of either 02~03% citric acid or 001~003% EDTA or 002~006% ascorbic acid had significant synergism effect on the preservation effect. If of 006~008% sodium benzoate was used as preservative substance, an addition of 006% ascoric acid as corkic Acid would show strong synergism effect.
