Preliminary Study on the Full Compatiable Di-Mon Mating of Lentinula Edodes

A wild strain and four types of sporaulated monokaryons of a cultivated strain Suxiang in Lentinula edodes were selected for the full compatiable di-mon mating, with one hybrid was obtained from each mating combination. The hybrids of di-mon mating were preliminarily determined on the basis of antagonic test, primordium formation in a PDY medium. Then cluster analysis was done, based on similarity coefficient of esterase isonzyme patterns. F test showed most strains expressed obvious hybrid vigour in the growth rate of mycelium and CMC enzyme activity, four representative strains of which generated normal fruiting body. Cluster analysis of esterase isoenzyme patters and agrnomic characters displayed a difference in varying degree between hybrids and their diskaryonic parent, showing №1-12 strains were true hybrids, and the value of csterase isoenzyme simiarity cocfficicnt bctween strains was takcn for a supplcmcntary genctic marker of selecting parents and mating breeding.
