DEVELOPMENT OF ALUMINUM MATRIX COMPOSITES REINFORCED BY PARTICLES

Review of technology of aluminum matrix composites reinforced by particles, its theories and its applications, present research situation of preform has been introduced, and some problems of preform have been analysed.

1 The compound material SiC/Al in which SiC has a very high volume occupation rate can be ideally matched with varied materials thanks to its easily-controlled thermal expansion,high thermal conductivity and lightness.It is used much more widely especially when today's military systems are becoming more light and portable with longer life and higher reliability. Based on a practical packaging for P-band power microwave device,this paper introduce first in China non-pressure pervasion process technology making the material according to the requirements of power microwave device package design and packaging manufacture.The CTE(coefficient of thermal expansion) can be precisely controlled and the process cost is low.Researches also include material forming,polish,digging hole,Gold-plating and bonding and sealing of dies,ceramic assemblies and packaging cap.SiC/Al packaging for power microwave device has been developed successfully with satisfying device performance parameters.;Non-Pressure Pervasion SiC/Al Compound Material and its Research on Application in Power Microwave Device and Module No.55 Institute,CETC Wangziliang Linye Chengkai Tuchuanzheng Zhangren Wangruning Chengjieming Chengyinglong Beijing Aero-Material Institute[A];[C];2003
