Rotating PE method in the application of electromagnetic scattering algorithm

The theory of parabolic equation(PE) was presented,and was applied to the scattering analysis of two dimensional perfectly electric conducting objects.The standard parabolic equation method was obtained by the decompocition of the scalar wave equation and the expansion of the pseudo-differential operator.The rotated parabolic equation method was presented to compute the bistatic radar cross section(RCS).The advantage of the presented method lies in saving the computer source by reducing the dimension when solving the traditional wave equation.Numerical results are compared with that of the analytical solution,it was shown that the complexity of computation was reduced drastically without sacrificing much accuracy.
