Study on salt resistant capacity of four kinds of turf grasses species.

In order to select the turf grasses which adapt to be planted on saline-alkali soil in Tianjin, the changes of water content of leaves, proline, chlorophyll content of four kinds of turf grasses species were determined under the salt stress with permeance of Tianjin saline-alkali soil. The results indicated that the general tend was that water content decreased and proline, chlorophyll content inereased along with the inerease of salt stress intensity. It can be concluded by analysis that four turf grasses have certain salt resistant capacities under the salt stress with permeance of Tianjin saline-alkali soil. The capacity to salt resistance is Poa pratensis 'Reward' Brumus Inerme Festuca rundomacea' Crossfire Ⅱ' Loliurn perenne'PHD'
