Effect of Potassium Fertilizer Application on the Yield and Quality of Rice

Besides variety,cultivation technique,especially fertilization technique can affect the yield and quality of rice.Different potassium fertilizer application quantity and rates were tested,and the results showed that 90㎏/hm2 was the best potassium fertilizer application quantity,and 6∶2∶2 was the preferable potassium fertilizer application rate of basal fertilizer∶tillering fertilizer∶panicle fertilizer.Potassium fertilization in later stage significantly decreased amylose content and raised protein content,resulting in higher edible quality and nutritious quality.Potassium fertilization in later stage was advantageous to product high quality rice.
