The salt resistance effects of exogenous proline in the growth of cucumber seedlings were studied with sand culture. The results showed that exogenous proline could significantly improved the root length, the dry weight of root, chlorophyll content, increased the absorption surface area of root, activities of protected enzymes such as catacase(CAT).It is proposed that exogenous proline could induce salt resistance, salt tolerance and decrease alleviate damage degree of salt stress of cucumber seedlings.
