Effect of Hypergravity on the Growth traits and Root activity of Soybean

Soybean [Glycine max(L.) Merill]was used as plant material in this study.Germinating bean seeds were treated with 2000×g,3000×g for 4 hours,5 hours and 6 hours.Growth traits and root activities were determined.The results showed that germinating rate and index of soybean with different treatment decreased in some degree;the plant height decreased,the diameter of stem increased and the roots shorten and developed in seedling period;plant height,grains/plant and 100-grain weight decreased in maturing period.Hypergravity can increase soybean root activity.
