Physiological Response of Liriope muscari(Decne.)Bailey to Drought Stress under Different Intensities

This experiment uses polyethylene glycol 6000(PEG6000) to simulate drought stress of different intensity(10% moderate stress and 20% severe stress).By measuring 6 physiological and biochemical indexes of Liriope muscari(Decne.)Bailey to analyze the physiological response of Liriope muscari(Decne.)Bailey under drought stress.The results showed that the soluble sugar content of Liriope muscari(Decne.)Bailey increased significantly under 10% PEG6000 stress,but only slightly under 20% stress.And the increase of POD enzyme activity under the moderate stress of 10% concentration was greater than that in the severe stress of 20% concentration;the content of MDA increased in a small amount in 10% concentration,but in20% concentration.The Chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and protein content decreased under drought stress.The results showed that Liriope muscari(Decne.) Bailey had the strongest drought tolerance under 10% stress.
