Transcend the Opposite:A Research of Zhang Long-xi's Cross-Cultural Study

In the process of cross-cultural communication,some westerners have enlarged the differences between the oriental culture and the occidental culture insomuch that they are totally incomprehensible.However,the distinguished scholar Zhang Long-xi have raised doubts over and criticized the westerners' researches on cultural differences during his long-term research.He is actively looking for the same themes between Chinese and western literature in the interpretation of language,so his cross-cultural studies have a distinct sense of equality.The paper claims that cross-cultural study should not stop at the conclusions reached by responding to western discourses,but tries to seek commonness among the differences and find differences from the common traits.
