EFFECT OF CLIMATIC CONDITIONS ON MILLING QUALITY OF EARLY INDICA RICE DURING RIPENING

Wang Shouhai;Li Zegong;Wu Lijun, (Rice Institute, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences)
The milling quality of 7 early indica rice cultivars grown in Tengxi,Wuhu, Anqing and Hefei were investigated in 1988. The brown rice, milled rice and whole rice yield sowing on April 6, 16, 26 were slightlychanged, and sowing on June 26 or July 6 greatly improved. The pathand stepwise regression analysis indicated that the temperature duringgrain ripening was the major climatic factor affecting the milling qua-lity.
