Studies on the Combining Ability and Heritability of Hybrid Rice Some Parents

Luo Zhixiang et al (Rcie Research Institute,Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences,Hefei 230031)  
The experimental results were as follows:①The additive effect of eleven traits were bigger than non additive effect,and the additive effect was absolute predominance in eleven traits but the number of panicle per plant.②The parents with high GCA and SCA variance can be used to breed high yield combinations.③The wide heritability of six traits such as the period from sowing to heading etc was high, and the narrow heritability of four traits such as plant height etc was high, These traits can be used as a reference in breeding procedure.④Among 40 combinations, 8 combinations yield exceeded the check variety of Shanyou 63. Among the 8 combinations, Xieyou 57、Kyou 57 and Xieyou 040 had passed through the regional test or had been popularized.
