The Research of the Compatibility, Combining Ability and Heritability of Some Rice Sterile Lines

Luo Zhixiang et al (Rice Research Institute, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Hefei 230031)  
Among the sterile and restore lines, Y4036A and 057 belonged to I type. The additive effect of the three traits such as the plant height were higher. Both wide and narrow heritability were lower. Among them, the narrow heritability of the wight of 1000-grains and the period from sowing to heading were more than 70%, the others were less than 60%. Among the four sterile lines, the wide compatibility of Peiai 64s was better, Y4036A was lower. The shortages such as lower rate of seed setting were also exist. But they can be resolved by the gain of wide compatibility transfer and the parents selection.
