Study on the Heterosis of the Appearance and Process Quality of Early season Rice Grian

Shi Yingyao et al (Dept.of Agronomy,Anhui Agricnltural University,Hefei 230036)  
The sixteen F 1 hybrids from four male sterile lines and four restorer lines were adopted by the method of incomplete diallele cross,the appearance and process qualities were tested in these combinations and parents,the mid parent and over parent heterosis of each character and general combining ability of parents were analysised. The results showed that male sterile lines of Xieqingzao A and Jin 23A,the restorer line 9247 and their hybrid combinations were better than others in the main characters of head milled rice rate,kernel shape and chalkiness ratio.
