A Preliminary Study on the Cultural Techniques of Good Quality and High Yield for Wanjing 97 as Late Double-crop Rice

The characteristics of Wanjing 97 were described in the paper. The effects of the effective panicles, the number of spikelet per panicle, the 1000-grain weight and seed-setting on its yield were analyzed. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between the effective panicles, the 1000-grain weight and the grain yield of Wanjing 97 respectively. Based on the factors affecting yield and quality of Wanjing 97, the cultural technique of Wanjing 97 with good quality and high yield as late double-crop rice was formed. It concluded that the application of organic, phosphoric and potassium fertilizer and right methods of harvest were important in high yield and the reasonable crop sequence was selected for early sowing and the transplanting; the healthy seedlings were cultured for the increase of the effective spikelet and panicle by the proper closely planting density.
