Research on the Botany Characters of Flue-cured Tobacco Leaf from the Different Soil Moisture in the Maturing Stage

The botany characters of tobacco leaf from the different soil moisture in the maturing stage were studied. The results showed that the density of stomata, the thickness of the leaf and palisade tissues in the same location of tobacco added with the decrease of soil moisture, sponge tissues became thin, the number of cells of palisade tissues of the unit length added, the cells became more slim and longer with the decrease of soil moisture, which were beneficial for the photosynthesis. When the leaf location became high, the leaf and palisade tissues were heavy and the number of cells and the volume of cells of palisade tissues increased. So it was an important measure for improving the quality of tobacco leaf and the soil moisture were rationally adjusted in order to control the thickness of tobacco leaf in the maturing stage.
