Transformation Research Progress in Maize

Huang Min et al (College of Life Science,Yangtze University, Jingzhou,Hubei 434025)  
The research on the gene transformation always is a hot spot in the field of plant molecular. Great progress had been made in maize transformation since 1986. In the paper the new progress made in the various aspects of maize transformation was summarized, including approaches of transformation, select gene, receptor and inheritance of transferred genes in transgenic offspring.
