Research on the Irradiation and Low Temperature Storage Technique of Chinese Chestnut

Liu Chao et al (Institute of Acomic Energy Application,AAAS,Hefei,Anhui 230031)  
The effect of irradiation storage technique on Chinese chestnut was discussed in the paper and the results indicated that 0.3~0.5?kGy doses of irradiation could prevent sprouting and kill insect and reduce rot and less weight lose. By the treatment of low storing temperature the nuts can be stored for more than 10 months and the fresh-keeping rate was 95%.The productive experiment showed good result.
