Study on the Angles between Leaf and Stem of Maturity-time of Flue-cured Tobacco

WANG Huai-zhu et al (Guizhou Tobacco Science Research Institute, Guiyang,Guizhou 550003)  
The changes of the angles between leaf and stem were studied in order to seek the objective standard of maturity-time in the maturation period of flue-cured tobacco.The experimental result indicated that the angles between leaf and stem could exactly reflect the ripeness degree of flue-cured tobacco leaves.It could be a basis of the optimum quality and yield at the harvest time when the colour turned green to yellow and the angles was 60°~70° at lower leaf position of the cultivar--K326. But for middle and upper leaves, physical character was appropriate and comprehensive chemical component was relatively harmonized when the colour reached specific degree and the angles was 80°~90°.
