Study on Separation of β-Glucan from Barley

The method of the preparation of β-glucan from barley was developed by enzyme treatment.The recovery of β-glucan separated reached 2%. Neither reducing sugar nor protein was determined by DNS and Bradford method respectively.There was no difference between β-glucan separated and Sigma's as substrate for determining the enzyme activity.
