Study on the Selection of Pesticides for the Control of Root Rot of Japanese Larch

AI Xun-ru et al (The School of Biological Science and Technology,Hubei Institute for Nationalities,Enshi, Hubei 445000)  
Root rot of Japanese larch is a kind of forest disease that seriously occurred in the west mountain areas of Hubei in recent years. The research results showed that rhizoctonia was the primary pathogeny that caused the disease. The toxicity of 40% of pentachloronitrobenzene and other 9 pesticides to rhizoctonia were determined with the method of fungus cake, among which, 6 pesticides had the controlling effect of above 80% in the control test of potted plant. The results demonstrated that pentachloronitrobenzene and others had good control effect on the control of root rot of Japanese larch.
