Effect of Nitrogen Application on Yield Formation of Machine Transplanted Rice

PENG Chang-qing et al(Crop Cultivation Technology Station of Nantong City,Nantong,Jiangsu 226006)  
The effects of nitrogen application on yield formation of rice transplanted by machine were studied.Results showed that the yield increased significantly when nitrogen application was increased.To produce much higher yield,the suitable ratio of basic panicle to N fertilizer was 6∶4 with N 324 kg/hm2.Increasing basic fertilizer as well as adding some panicle fertilizer would enhance yield.Sink capacity and panicle per unit area were increased,which caused the yield enhanced significantly.Leaf area index(LAI) improved in elongation,full heading and maturing period,which was the primary cause of dry matter accumulation enhanced.
