Improvement of Salt-affected Soils with Six Halophytes

WANG Yu-zhen et al(Dongying Vocational College,Dongying,Shandong 257091)  
Six Halophytes were planted in salt-affected soils with salt content of 0.5% for three years and the contents of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,organic matter and salt were surveyed every year.The results indicated six Halophytes can improve salt-affected soil.The content of salt was reduced gradually,but the content of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,organic matter was increased year by year,respectively.The affecting degree was:Suaeda heteroptera KitagawaAtriplex centralasiaticaTamarix chinensis Lour.Nitraria sibirica Paul.Kochia scoparia(L.)SchradApocynum venetum L.Besides,Suaeda heteroptera Kitagawa and Tamarix chinensis Lour.can affect salt content at different series of soil.It was proved that Tamarix chinensis Lour.can better improve soil in the depth,but Suaeda heteroptera Kitagawa can improve better the top layer of soil.
