Effects of Calcium Chloride on Chrysanthemum Cut-flower Fresh-keeping

The physiological reaction of the fresh Chrysanthemum cut-flower to calcium chloride was studied.The effect of the different concentrations of calcium choride was various.The result showed the preservation solutions could all prolong vase-life,increase fresh weight and flower's diameter,increase water uptake,delay increase of pH value and decrease of anthocyanidin in content in petals tissue and maintain stability of soluble sugar content and membrane permeability in petals tissue.The best treatment solution was: CaCl_2 2 g/L+30% soluble+200 mg/L 8-HQS.
