Breeding and Cultivation Techniques of a New Japonica Hybrid Rice Combination-Xuyou 201 with Good Quality and High Yield

WANG Jian-kang et al (Xuzhou City Agricultural Institute, Xuzhou,Jiangsu 221121)  
Japonica hybrid rice combination-Xuyou 201 was with the characters of both high yield and good quality.The results in Jiangsu province regional and production trail showed that its yield increased 6.44 % and 13.94 % more than 9 you 138(CK) respectively.The yield amounded to 9.50 t/hm2 in large areas production.The index of grain quality met the demand of good quality grain standard of MOA. Ideal plant structure,vigor growth,large spike and more seeds and high ratio of seed-setting ets, were its advantages.
