RAPD Analysis of Germplasm Resources of Platycodon grandiflorum DC

The objective of this study was to analyze the genetic diversity among the 56 samples of Platycodon grandiflorum DC. from different countries or regions with RAPD analysis. A total of 212 distinct bands were detected with 25 random primers and obtained 104 bands(49.05 %) were polymorphic.The 212 RAPD marker loci constructed a dendrogram according to UPGMA. The results showed that the 56 samples of Platycodon grandiflorum DC. were clustered into eight groups at genetic distance 0.137 5. This implied that the 56 samples of Platycodon grandiflorum DC. were mainly clustered according to geographical distribution.
