Susceptibility Testing of the Combination of Amikacin and Tilmicosin against Some Pathogenic Bacteria of Dairy Cow Mastitis

SUN Xue-feng et al (College of Animal Science and Technology,Northwest A & F University,Yangling,Shaanxi 712100)
To study the interaction between Amikacin and Tilmicosin against the bacteria of dairy cow mastitis, the susceptibility testing of drug combination to Streptococcus agalactiae,Streptococcus dysgalactiae,Staphylococcus aureus and E.coli in vitro was done. The minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) of Amikacin and Tilmicosin against the batertia was determined with the grade dilution method. The fractional inhibitory concentration(FIC) was measured with checkerboard microdilution method. The results showed MIC of Amikacin and Tilmicosin against the batertia was 7.81~62.50 μg/mL and the FIC of Amikacin combined with Tilmicosin was 0.75~1.0.The study suggested that the combination of Amikacin and Tilmicosin to the bacteria had additive effect.
