Affect of 2,4-dichlorophenol on the Proliferation of Lepidoptera Insects Cells

YI Hong-gen et al (School of Life Science,Soochow University,Suzhou,Jiangsu 215153)
In the paper, the effects of 2,4-Dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP) on ovary cell of Bombyx silkworm(BmN) and Autographa califobiea(Sf9) were studied. The result showed that the cell proliferation was promoted by lower concentration of 2,4-DCP.It showed cytotoxicity beyond certain concentration and made the cells un-adherence to grow and multiply.High concentration of 2,4-DCP even could makes the cells death and contraction or rhegma. So it has the notable effect of concentration and time. The LC50 of 2,4-DCP on BmN and Sf9 cells was 0.135 and 0.141 mmol/L respectively.
