In this paper, the influence of planting age of garden on soil physicochemical property and microbe quantity in Yantai area was studied by normal methods. The results showed that with the increase of planting age,the change of pH and soil moisture had no obvious rule;the quantity of organic matter and total P increased, while the content of total N,K decreased in different soil layer. The relative number of microorganisms was not changed in garden soil, and the number of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi reduced in turn. With the increase of planting years, the number of bacteria and fungi enhanced, and the number of actinomycetes decreased in different soil layer.
