Effect of Shading on Chlorophyll Contents and Biomass of Aralia continentalis

PAN Xiao-yan et al (College of Horticulture,Shenyang Agricultural University,Shenyang,Liaoning 110161)  
Through setting up different shading grads,the DPS software was used to analyze data and investigate the effects of different shading levels on chlorophyll contents and biomass of Aralia continentalis.The results showed that the proper shading could increase the contents of chlorophyll,and increased with the intensities of shading.The proper shading could enhance the plant biomass,in which 60% shading got the most biomass.The effect of shading on biomass of plant aerial portion was obvious lower than that of plant under ground portion.This study provided the gist for the cultivation and management,and integration utilization of Aralia continentalis.
