Development and Application of GIS for Balanced Fertilization of Tobacco in Hunan Province

ZHANG Yi-yang et al(Research Center of Tobacco Engineering & Technology,Hunan Agricultural University,Changsha,Hunan 410128)  
Mapinfo 7.0 and Visual Basic 6.0 were used to exploit GIS for balanced fertilization of tobacco in Hunan Province.Spatial database,soil property database,meteorological database and tobacco nutrient test database in major production counties were established by Mapinfo and Access.The basic functions of the GIS were data input,output,update query,search,statistics as well as nutrition map facture and output.Fertilization cards were made according to nutrient index in different fields and districts.
