Acute Toxicity of Mercury and Lead to Grass Carps and Safety Assessment

Acute toxicity of Mercury and lead to Grass carps' fries was studied with the static test method.It was conducted to evaluate the impact of mercury and lead on fishes.The results showed that mercury to Grass carps' fries was a drastic toxicant,while lead was a median toxicant.The LC50 of mercury to grass carps' fries were 0.431,0.388,0.375,0.362 mg/L in 24,48,72,96 h respectively,while LC50 of lead to grass carps' fries were 586.860,582.673,582.673,576.412 mg/L.The safe concentrations of mercury and lead are 0.036 and 57.641 mg/L respectively.The safe concentrations of mercury and lead to Grass carps' fries were far higher than the standard of Fishery Water Quality.
