Research on Landform Evolution of Huangshui Valley Based on MapGIS

WANG Jie et al(College of Earth Sciences,China University of Geosciences,Wuhan,Hubei 430074)
The erosion-transport-deposit of weathering sediment was one of the important processes of geomorphology development. And it was the premise of water and soil loss research.Based on the theory of landform erosion circulation and Hyosometric(area-altitude)analysis of erosion topography,MapGIS was used in the research of landform evolution in Huangshui valley.Result showed that the period of landform evolution of the region was very young with strong landform erosion.Landform evolution in the south was earlier than that in the north.
