Effect of Glucose,Sodium Glutamate and Ethephon on Synthetic Quantity of Lycopene in Tomato Fruits

[Objecttive] The study aims to investigate the effects of glucose,sodium glutamate and ethephon on synthetic quantity of lycopene in tomato fruits.[Method] Qianxi tomato fruits in different developing stages were treated with glucose,sodium glutamate and ethephon with different concentrations to study their effects on synthetic quantity of lycopene and confirm the optimum matching of mixed liquid of 3 matters through orthogonal experiment.[Result] Treatments of soaking liquid of glucose,sodium glutamate and ethephon with suitable concentration could increase the synthetic quantity of lycopene in tomato fruits in all the developing stages.The optimum matching of mixed liquid of 3 matters in treating tomato fruits in hard-mature period was glucose 3.0%,sodium glutamate 3.0% and ethephon 1.0%.The lycopene content increased by 191% after treating.The effect of Ethephon on the high expression level of lycopene was the most,followed by sodium glutamate and glucose.[Conclusion] The study supplied theoretical basis for increasing the synthetic quantity of lycopene in tomato fruits.
