Change of Landscape Patterns of Land-use in Wuhan

With GIS and landscape ecology methods,the characteristics of the change of the landscape patterns of land-use in Wuhan were studied.The results showed that the area of the cropland,woodland and other lands were decreased while the area of the water body,cultural residences and industry land were increased form 1995 to 2000.The mean patch size and heterogeneity of cultural residences and industry land were the highest.The complexity of the landscape was increased while the evenness was decreased.Finally,the spatial distribution of the changed patch in landscape was regular.
