Comparison of Extraction Techniques of Total Flavonoids in Chrysanthemum Indicun

[Objective] The study aimed to ascertain the optimum extraction method and its technical conditions for total flavonoids of chrysanthemum indicum. [Method] With Chrysanthemum indicun in Guizhou as materials, the optimum extraction technical conditions of total flavonoids of chrysanthemum indicum were ascertained by L9 (34) orthogonal experiment on extracting with boiling water and ethanol. [Result] The influencing factors on boiling water extraction were: extraction temperature extraction times solid-liquid ratio extraction time and the optimum level combination for boiling water extraction method was extracting at the temperature of 100℃ for 1 h per time and twice, with solid-liquid ratio at 1:10 and the extraction rate was 3.15 %. The influencing factors on ethanol extraction were: ethanol concentration extraction temperature extraction time extraction times and the optimum level combination for ethanol extraction was extracting at the temperature of 80 ℃ for 3 h per time and three times, with ethanol concentration at 60 % and the extraction rate was 5.98 %. [Conclusion] The extraction rate of total flavonoids of Chrysanthemum indicum by ethanol extraction was 1.9 times higher than that by boiling water extraction.
