Study on Digestibility of 13~16-day-old Tan-sheep Lamb to Corn Protein Meal and Extruded Soybean Flour

WANG Zhen-jun et al(College of Animal Science and Technology,Northwest A&F University,Yangling,Shaanxi 712100)
[Objective] The study aimed to determine the apparent digestibility of lamb to nutrients of corn protein meal and extruded soybean flour and provide basic data for selecting milk-replacer protein source for Tan-sheep lamb.[Method] In the single factor random grouping test,12 male lambs of Tan-sheep,4-day-old,were divided into 3 groups and the digestion and metabolism experiment was carried out on the 13~16-day-old Tan-sheep lamb after pre-feeding.The lambs in control group were fed on skim milk powder, while those in test groups were fed on corn protein meal and expanding soybean flour respectively.[Result] Digestibility of lamb to nutrients of milk powder, corn protein meal and extruded soybean flour was all higher, with milk powder being highest.Digestibility of lamb to nutrients of corn protein meal was significant higher than that of extruded soybean flour(p0.05).[Conclusion] Analysis on the nutrient digestibility showed that the corn protein meal and extruded soybean flour could be used as main source of milk-replacer protein to reduce the cost of breeding and the corn protein gluten meal was superior to extruded soybean flour.
