Discussion on the Relation between Ecological Factors and Some Chemical Components in Flue-cured Tobacco

ZHANG Yong-an et al(Center of Technique,Fujian Tobacco Industrial Company,Xiamen,Fujian 361022)
Ecosystem condition was very important among the many influencing factors of tobacco leaf quality.Relationships between ecological factors and some chemical components and higher fatty acids in flue-cured tobacco were studied.Result showed that nicotine content decreased with the increase of latitude.Starch degraded fully under the condition of medium proper moisture and high planting temperature.Protein content increased with the increase of elevation but decreased with annual sunshine duration.Water-soluble total sugar had positive correlation with ecological factors.Total higher fatty acids and the non-volatile fatty acids had the same tendency and they were the lowest in the Yellow-huai River area. The saturated fatty acids content was the highest in the southwest China tobacco planting area.
