Research on Pollution Characteristics of Heavy Metal in Vegetable from Nanjing Suburb

The aim was to study the pollution characteristics of heavy metal in vegetable from Nanjing suburb.Spinach,celery,garlic sprouts and rape from suburbs in 8 different directions of Nanjing city were collected as vegetable samples.The enrichment and migration of Fe,Mn,Cu,Ni,Pb and Cd in vegetable were studied.Fe and Pb contents were highest in rape,being(359.95±196.2) and(2.08±1.05) mg/kg resp.;Cu,Mn and Cd contents were highest in spinach stem and leaves,being(7.14±1.17),(68.51±31.14) and(0.55±0.15) mg/kg resp.The metal enrichment concentrations of spinach and rape were obviously higher than that of the other two kinds of vegetable.The maximum TC values of the metals all appeared in spinach,except that the maximum TC value(73%) of Mn appeared in celery.The absorption of vegetable to metal had selectivity,and difference in different varieties of vegetable.The migration ability of Pb from roots to stem and leaves in vegetable was obviously higher than that of the other 5 metals.Compared with the other kinds of vegetable,spinach had stronger ability to transport metal from roots to stem and leaves.The accumulations of the same kind of metal in different parts of vegetable were different.
