Analysis and Evaluation on Nutritive Composition of Chinese Dates in Different Producing Areas of North Shaanxi

[Objective] The study aimed to explore the nutritive components of Chinese dates in different producing areas of north Shaanxi so as to provide basis for development and utilization of functional dates products in north Shaanxi.[Method] With dates from different producing areas of Shaanxi Yulin as raw material,their total sugar,flavonoids,vitamin C and general nutritive component contents were analyzed.[Result] The results indicated that total sugar and vitamin C contents mainly related to the producing area.The dates of Sheyuli township in Qingjian county and Tong town in Jiaxian county were least in total sugar content,but highest in vitamin C content.The flavonoids content mainly related to the variety,which was highest in small dates and least in big dates of Sheyuli township in Qingjian county and Tong town in Jiaxian county.[Conclusion] Taking the small dates of Sheyuli township in Qingjian county and Tong town in Jiaxian county as the functional food would have higher development value.
