Application of Lignin and its Derivatives in Agriculture and Forestry

LI Yang-jie et al(College of Resource and Environment,Central South University of Forestry and Technology,Changsha,Hunan 410004)  
The lignin which was by product of wood hydrolyzing industry and paper-making industry contained a great deal of active groups.It could be applied directly or after being modified in agriculture and forestry.It and its derivatives had a wide application prospect as slow-released chemical fertilizer,slow-released pesticide,soil stabilizer,soil amendment and film mulching,and so on.Not only could it provide a new pathway on application of lignin,but also it offer a new approach which could reduce the cost of agriculture and forestry,and to reduce the pollution of chemical fertilizer、pesticide and so on.
